After the cutscene, rescue the Shy Guy stuck in the doorway of the large building with the red roof. Jump onto the warp pipe and use it to travel to the background of Toad Town.Įmerge from the pipe and go left. It’s currently locked, so continue heading left to reach the warp pipe. The building on the left is the Accessory Shop. On the left side, right behind a small fence, you can find a ?-Block.
You’ll find Collectible Treasure No.5 Camp Speaker in the backyard. There’s not much inside, so exit through the back door. To the left of that house is another home with an unlocked door. Inside the house is a note on the floor and 100 Coins inside the wardrobe. Fix Not-Bottomless Hole #7 to make the door appear. Walk over to the house the Macho Goomba was munching on. No need to use confetti here walk through it to travel underneath the bridge and reach a fenced-in yard with Collectible Treasure No.4 Torch from Peaches Castle. You'll notice a hole behind some large boxes. Therefore, go to the yard between the Battle Lab and the bridge. Most of the buildings, like The Battle Lab, are locked, and the Museum next to it is empty. Sit down if you need to heal and use the Save Block. Let’s do that!Īfter defeating the Macho Goomba, walk left to fix Not-Bottomless Hole#6 in the grassy area at the front of the Battle Lab - the mushroom-shaped building. You could do that… or you could explore every nook and cranny of Toad Town. After defeating it, your next objective is to reach the castle. After a few whacks from your Hammer, the Macho Goomba will explode in a shower of confetti goodness. Approach to attack and retreat when necessary. With the seal removed, it’s now vulnerable to the Hammer from all sides. You can only fight within the central courtyard area, but the enemy is quite slow and can only charge in short bursts. After hitting them, Macho Goombas will glow red and are invincible while glowing. The enemy will charge and try to tackle you. After breaking the seal, give yourself some room.
Beware! These enemies do not trigger a battle like usual. Once there, Olivia will point out the seal on the back of the Macho Goomba. Let’s go in! Travel through the archway and reach the central courtyard. Still outside the entrance, follow the edge of the cliff on the right side to find a ?-Block. Before going through the archway, fix Not-Bottomless Hole#5 on the left side directly in front of the fence. After fixing the hole, go up the steps to reach the main entrance of Toad Town. Not-Bottomless Hole#4 can be easily spotted on the cliffside. Head down the ledges and continue following the path toward the right. Once the hole is fixed, you can reach the area and hit the ?-Block to gain 100 coins. Be sure to fix Not-Bottomless Hole#3 before jumping onto the final ledge. You can reach it by jumping onto the ledges. Try to hold your fear as you get a glimpse of the large Goomba-looking things roaming the town in the distance! After that moment of horror, you'll notice a ?-Block near the top of the cliff. After the battle, continue moving right and you’ll encounter a small Not-Bottomless Hole#2. Follow along with Olivia to line up the Goombas and attack them all. Sliding allows you to move enemies in a row, somewhat like a conveyor belt. This next battle introduces the Sliding mechanic. As you continue traveling right, you’ll encounter a group of Origami Goombas messing with a stack of (regular?) Goombas. As you emerge from the Whispering Woods, you will find Not-Bottomless Hole#1 toward the back next to the cliff wall.
